Digital food decoration is not limited to large industrial production lines. There are small producers, companies that customize only part of their production, and businesses that want to operate off-line without modifying their existing production line.

The new XLogic system was developed to meet these needs with a modular solution combining single-pass digital printing, product handling and customizable configurations.

A Stand-Alone or Integrable Station

The system can operate as a complete off-line station or be integrated into the production process as an independent module.

In the automated configuration, a custom feeder transfers the products onto the conveyor belt, a mechanical guide aligns them, and single-pass printing takes place as the products move through the system.

Non-contact inkjet technology makes it possible to decorate even fragile, rough or irregular products without applying any pressure to the food.

Designed for Different Production Needs

The station is suitable for companies that do not manufacture food products directly but want to offer a customization service, small producers with limited production volumes, and companies that decorate only part of their production.

It can also be used by manufacturers that cannot or do not want to integrate the printer directly into their production line or, conversely, by larger manufacturers looking for a complete, stand-alone and integrable station designed to meet the highest safety standards.

Its modular design also makes it possible to manage production peaks, off-season production or different types of products. With two feeders and two printers, two different products can be decorated simultaneously; with two feeders and one printer, alternating production runs can be managed.

Instant Artwork Changes

One of the main advantages of digital printing is the ability to change images and decorations directly via software, without printing plates, cylinders or physical tooling.

This makes the system particularly suitable for small batches, seasonal campaigns, customized production and orders for different customers, reducing downtime between production runs.

High Definition Even on Complex Surfaces

XLogic technology is designed to maintain good definition of text, logos and images even on porous, rough or irregular surfaces, which are typical of baked goods.

Non-contact printing also reduces the risk of damaging delicate products during decoration.

Edible Inks and Food Safety

The system uses food-grade edible inks formulated to be organoleptically neutral and not alter the taste, aroma or texture of the product.

The solution is also covered by XLogic’s ISO 22000-certified food safety management system and is developed in compliance with CE requirements and the relevant EC and FDA references applicable to the inks used.

A Solution Built Around the Customer’s Production Process

The value of the new XLogic system lies in its ability to adapt to different production environments without imposing a single configuration.

The goal is always the same: to make digital food printing easier to integrate, more flexible to use and sustainable in relation to actual production volumes.
